Fall 2007

On Thanksgiving weekend, we went apple picking in the Annapolis Valley. The boys had a lot of fun looking at the pumpkins and picking apples that were "just right." We bought some yummy apple cider and made blueberry apple crisp to accompany our turkey dinner.

In October, we went back to the Valley to visit the pumpkin patch. When we started out for the Valley, the weather was nice. However, during the drive, the clouds rolled in and the skies opened up. Since we had already driven 40 minutes, we didn't really want to turn around and go home. So, we decided to keep going and see what happened when we got to the Pumpkin patch. We had to sit in the car for about 10 minutes and wait it out and then the skies seemed to clear up. We decided to make a mad dash for the pumpkins. Ethan and Zachary had a lot of fun walking up and down choosing just the right pumpkin. They got a little bit muddy but what would a visit to the pumpkin patch be without a little bit of Valley mud to take home with us! On the weekend before Halloween, Jason and the boys carved the pumpkins.
